THE new Peugeot 508 RXH estate model will cost from £33,695 when it hits the road in May. And Peugeot`s low emissions 508 Saloon Hybrid4, due in July, will cost from £31,450. The newcomers are seen by Peugeot as key business sector vehicles and both use the latest hybrid technology introduced as a world first on the 3008 HYbrid4. They pair a 2.0-litre HDi 163 diesel engine to power the front wheels with a 37bhp electric motor to drive the rear wheels for a combined output of 200bhp. While the 508 RXH is a bespoke derivative with all-route capability, the 508 Saloon HYbrid4 uses its hybrid powertrain to maximise performance and economy. CO2 emissions are just 95g/km for the 508 Saloon Hybrid4 and 107g/km for the 508 RXH while a key advantage for user choosers is the very low benefit-in-kind taxation of 10 per cent on the saloon and 12 per cent on the RXH. And for businesses, both vehicles attract 100 per cent Capital Write-down Allowance, meaning there is no further value to be carried over for taxation into the following year. The saloon boasts a comprehensive specification similar to the 508 Allure but with features like keyless entry, Stop/Start, cruise control, auto parking brake with Hill Assist, dual-zone air-con, electric folding door mirrors, Bluetooth, 18-inch alloys and half-leather seats. Range flagship the 508 RXH is a premium spec model that has features exclusively available in the SW estate body style and, combined with the HYbrid4 powertrain, has a raised stance, 18-inch alloys, front and rear parking aid and parallel parking assist, panoramic glass roof, colour head-up display and USB point
